We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a prominent automotive accident repair group operating across South Wales and England, to find a skilled MET Technician for their newly established Abergavenny bodyshop. Removing damaged parts to facilitate repairs Safely storing displaced parts for refitting Identifying and reporting any additional damage or parts required Ensuring all parts are correct to maintain smooth workflow throughout the repair process Refit and carefully reassemble vehicles post-repair, ensuring panel gaps and alignments meet manufacturer standards Replacing mechanical components such as steering, drivetrain, and engine parts as required Resetting vehicle control units using diagnostic equipment Adhering to health and safety legislation and internal procedures Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition Participating in regular safety training and team meetings Supporting colleagues and managing workload efficiently to meet deadlinesRequirements of a MET Technician:

Recognised qualification in automotive MET/vehicle body repair, or working towards an IMI qualification; individuals with extensive experience or no formal qualifications but a strong track record in body repair/strip and fit are also encouraged Strong ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Ability to interpret and follow work instructions on job cards to ensure manufacturer and company standards Good organisational skills to prioritise workload effectively Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid UK driving licence with minimal pointsThis MET Technician position offers a rewarding career opportunity within a well-established accident repair group committed to quality and customer satisfaction.
