Metrology Engineer

We are supporting a technically advanced manufacturer strengthening its dimensional inspection capability. This is a hands-on metrology role, not a traditional quality engineering position.You will lead and execute inspection programmes across CMM and optical scanning systems, developing robust measurement strategies for complex components and assemblies.

The Role:

• Programme and operate CMM systems
• Lead optical scanning activities
• Develop advanced inspection strategies using GD&T
• Analyse dimensional data to identify trends and process variation
• Produce high-quality metrology documentation including FAIR and dimensional reports

What we’re looking for:

• Strong CMM programming experience
• Experience with optical/GOM scanning equipment
• Understanding of datum structures and inspection strategy development
• Background within precision manufacturing
• Detail-driven with confident technical communication skills
