MIG Welder

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting:

We are looking for a MIG Welder for a permanent position based with our client in Sheffield.

Immediate start available (subject to interview and weld test)

Rate of pay is £15.00 to £19.00 per hour (depending on experience and skillset)

The Role

As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated components and structures to the required standards and specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

MIG welding mild steel components Working from engineering and fabrication drawings Reading and interpreting welding symbols and measurements Preparing, fitting and welding fabricated components Ensuring welds meet the required quality standards Carrying out visual inspections of completed work Using a range of fabrication and workshop equipment Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Working efficiently to meet production deadlinesThe successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience in a MIG Welding / Fabrication role Experience working with mild steel Ability to read and work from engineering drawings Good understanding of welding techniques and fabrication processes Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Ability to work independently and as part of a team A reliable and hardworking approachNVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Fabrication and Welding would be expected.

Must hold current or previous welding coding in BS EN 287-1:2011 or BS EN ISO 9606-1
