Job Description
Senior Production Engineer
Our client is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to support manufacturing operations, new product introduction, and process improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide production engineering support across manufacturing areas.
Develop and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and production methods.
Support new product introduction and Design for Manufacture activities.
Review drawings, technical documentation, and build packs for manufacturability.
Investigate production issues and carry out root cause analysis.
Implement corrective and preventative actions.
Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and safe systems of work.
Lead PFMEA, error-proofing, and waste reduction activities.
Support non-conformance investigations and manufacturing issue resolution.
Monitor production KPIs and identify process improvements.
Provide technical support and mentoring to engineers and production staff.
Work with planning, quality, engineering, and operations teams.Requirements
Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
Experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimisation.
Experience with CAD software and engineering drawings.
Understanding of Design for Manufacture and NPI processes.
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Ability to produce process documentation and work instructions.
ERP/MRP system knowledge beneficial.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
