About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Mine Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day activities at their facility in Coventry . This leadership position requires a strategic thinker capable of driving operational excellence, ensuring maximum productivity, and maintaining the highest safety standards across all mining operations. You will be responsible for managing a diverse team, optimizing resource allocation, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and profitability within the West Midlands mining landscape. This role is crucial for the successful execution of production targets and the overall smooth functioning of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all aspects of mine site operations, including extraction, processing, and logistical support.
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans to meet or exceed production targets and cost efficiencies.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Manage, mentor, and evaluate the performance of operational supervisors and frontline staff.
- Oversee the maintenance and utilization of mining equipment and infrastructure.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mine operations management.
- Demonstrated success in leading large operational teams and managing complex mining projects.
- Strong understanding of mining methods, equipment, and technologies.
- Proficiency in operational planning, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, with a commitment to safety.
