About the Role

Our client requires a seasoned Mine Operations Manager to oversee all operational activities at their site near Coventry, West Midlands . This leadership position is responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and profitable mining operations. You will manage a diverse team, optimize production processes, and maintain compliance with all industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of operational success and a deep understanding of modern mining techniques and challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all day-to-day mining operations, including extraction, processing, and logistics.
• Develop and implement operational plans to meet production targets and budgetary goals.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular site inspections.
• Manage and mentor mine staff, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the maintenance and efficient use of mining equipment and infrastructure.
• Monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in mining operations management.
• Degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing large teams.
• In-depth knowledge of mining methods, equipment, safety protocols, and relevant legislation.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets.
