About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Mine Operations Manager to oversee and direct all operational activities at their site near Portsmouth . This is a leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction of mineral resources. You will manage a diverse team, implement operational strategies, and maintain high standards of productivity and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of mining processes, and a proven ability to manage complex operations in a challenging environment. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day mining operations, including production, maintenance, and safety.
• Develop and implement operational plans to meet production targets and budget requirements.
• Manage and mentor site personnel, fostering a culture of safety, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Control operational costs and identify opportunities for efficiency gains.

Requirements

• A degree in Mining Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field.
• Significant experience (8+ years) in mine management and operational leadership.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale mining operations.
• Strong understanding of mining equipment, processes, and safety protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
