Our client is seeking a seasoned Mine Operations Manager to oversee and optimize all operational aspects of their mining facility near Coventry . This leadership role is crucial for ensuring safe, efficient, and productive mining activities, from extraction to processing. You will manage a diverse team of professionals, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet production targets and maintain the highest standards of operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all day-to-day mining operations , ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety performance.
- Oversee the maintenance and effective utilization of all mining equipment and machinery.
- Manage the mining workforce , including recruitment, training, performance management, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the mine site.
- Collaborate with engineering and geological teams to optimize extraction methods and mine planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mineral Processing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 5 years in a management capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large operational teams and complex mining projects.
- Strong knowledge of mining techniques , equipment, and relevant technologies.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance in the Coventry mining context.
