Our client is seeking a results-oriented Mine Operations Superintendent to lead their mining operations in Nottingham . This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day mining activities, ensuring efficient production, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all aspects of underground or open-pit mining operations, including planning, execution, and control.
• Ensure the achievement of production targets while maintaining strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mine supervisors, engineers, and frontline workers.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with other departments, including geology, maintenance, and engineering, to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mining operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven experience in managing complex mining projects and diverse teams.
• In-depth knowledge of mining methods, equipment, safety protocols, and operational best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
