About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update comprehensive short-term and long-term mine plans.
• Optimize mine sequencing, production schedules, and material movement strategies.
• Work with geological models to ensure resource areas are effectively planned for extraction.
• Conduct technical studies and economic analyses to support planning decisions.
• Ensure mine plans comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with operations teams to implement plans effectively and provide technical support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mine planning and design.
• Proficiency with mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac, MinePlan).
• Strong understanding of open pit or underground mining methods.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret geological data and translate it into practical mine plans.
