About the Role
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Mine Surveyor to join their operational team in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK . This role is essential for accurately mapping and measuring underground and surface mine workings, ensuring precise data for planning and production. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct precise surveys of underground and surface mine environments using advanced surveying equipment.
- Establish and maintain survey control networks to ensure accuracy in mapping and measurements.
- Prepare detailed mine plans, cross-sections, and volume calculations based on survey data.
- Record and report survey data accurately, ensuring it is integrated into mine planning software.
- Monitor ground movement and subsidence, reporting any significant changes or potential hazards.
- Collaborate with mine management, engineers, and geologists to provide necessary spatial information for operations.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mine surveyor, preferably in underground operations.
- Proficiency with total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, laser scanners, and data processing software.
- Strong understanding of mine surveying principles and practices.
- Ability to interpret geological and engineering plans.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and reporting.
