About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Mine Surveyor to join their operational team in Bradford, West Yorkshire . In this role, you will be responsible for precise measurement and mapping of underground and surface mining operations, ensuring accuracy in resource delineation and development. Your work is fundamental to the planning and execution of safe and efficient mining activities, providing critical spatial data that guides geological and engineering efforts. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys of mining areas, including underground workings and surface sites, using advanced surveying equipment.
• Establish and maintain control networks for mining operations.
• Prepare detailed maps, plans, and cross-sections of mine workings and geological features.
• Calculate volumes of extracted materials and stockpiles accurately.
• Monitor ground movement and subsidence, reporting any significant changes.
• Collaborate with geologists and engineers to provide essential spatial data for planning and decision-making.

Requirements

• Qualified Mine Surveyor or relevant degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor, preferably in underground or open-pit mining environments.
• Proficiency with total stations, GPS, laser scanners, and relevant surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Strong understanding of geodetic principles and coordinate systems used in mining surveys.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
