Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize mine ventilation networks, including fan selection and airflow distribution.
• Conduct detailed airflow modeling and simulations to predict and manage ventilation performance.
• Develop strategies for dust and gas control, and thermal management in underground environments.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to mine ventilation.
• Perform site assessments and audits (remotely through data analysis and team collaboration).
• Provide technical guidance and support to mine operations and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in ventilation.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mine ventilation engineering, preferably in underground mining.
• Proficiency with mine ventilation modeling software (e.g., Ventsim, Ventsim CADD, SimVent).
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and air quality management principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote setting.
