About the Role
Our client seeks a talented Mineral Processing Engineer to optimize the efficiency and yield of their mineral concentration plants in Leeds . This role is critical for enhancing metallurgical recovery rates and ensuring the quality of final products through the application of advanced processing techniques. You will be responsible for troubleshooting plant operations, developing process improvements, and implementing new technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of comminution, flotation, and other separation processes, coupled with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize mineral processing circuits to maximize recovery and product quality.
- Troubleshoot operational issues in crushing, grinding, flotation, and other metallurgical processes.
- Conduct test work and pilot plant trials for process development and improvement.
- Develop and implement process control strategies to ensure consistent performance.
- Prepare technical reports, operating manuals, and training materials.
- Collaborate with metallurgists, engineers, and plant operators to achieve production targets.
Requirements
- Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in mineral processing operations and development.
- Strong knowledge of comminution, flotation, gravity separation, and magnetic separation.
- Experience with process simulation software (e.g., METSIM, JKSimMet).
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and process optimization techniques.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
