About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Mineral Processing Engineer to optimize their processing plant operations near Stoke-on-Trent . This role is instrumental in ensuring efficient and effective recovery of valuable minerals from raw ore. You will be responsible for process design, troubleshooting, continuous improvement initiatives, and managing plant operations to meet production and quality targets. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of mineral processing techniques, and a commitment to innovation and sustainability within the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, operate, and optimize mineral processing circuits (e.g., crushing, grinding, flotation, leaching).
- Monitor plant performance, analyze metallurgical test data, and implement process improvements to enhance recovery and reduce costs.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and develop solutions to maintain plant efficiency and product quality.
- Conduct feasibility studies and pilot plant trials for new processing technologies or circuit modifications.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable processing practices.
- Collaborate with R&D, operations, and maintenance teams to achieve plant objectives in Stoke-on-Trent .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mineral processing operations, plant design, or process optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of various mineral processing unit operations and associated equipment.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., METSIM, JKSimFloat) and data analysis tools.
- Experience in managing projects and leading technical teams.
- Strong understanding of chemical principles related to mineral extraction and purification.
