About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Mineral Processing Engineer to join their technical team in Derby, Derbyshire . This role is essential for optimizing the extraction and separation of valuable minerals from raw ore. You will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing efficient processing circuits, ensuring maximum recovery and product quality while minimizing environmental impact. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize mineral processing circuits, including crushing, grinding, flotation, and leaching.
• Conduct laboratory and pilot plant testing to evaluate new processes and improve existing ones.
• Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, recovery, and cost-effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot operational issues within the processing plant and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations in processing operations.
• Collaborate with metallurgists, geologists, and plant operators to achieve optimal results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mineral Processing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mineral processing or a related field within the mining industry.
• Strong understanding of metallurgical principles and various mineral separation techniques.
• Proficiency with process simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Experience in optimizing plant operations for efficiency and yield.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a plant environment in Derby .
