About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily mining activities, including drilling, blasting, and material handling.
• Supervise mine operations personnel, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Monitor production targets and equipment performance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Implement and manage ore control and mine planning strategies.
• Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in the development and management of the mine's operating budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in mine operations management.
• Proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Surpac, Deswik) and operational monitoring systems.
• Solid understanding of underground and surface mining methods and techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing a diverse workforce.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations pertinent to mining.
