About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Mining Operations Manager to oversee their operations in the Bristol region, working a hybrid schedule. You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable execution of mining activities, managing all aspects of surface and underground operations. This leadership role requires strategic planning, operational oversight, and a commitment to excellence in safety, productivity, and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic operational plans to meet production targets and financial goals.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Manage and motivate a diverse team of professionals, including engineers, supervisors, and frontline workers.
• Oversee mine planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
• Control operational costs and manage budgets effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Significant experience (10+ years) in mining operations management, with progressive responsibility.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale mining projects safely and profitably.
• Strong understanding of mining methods, equipment, and technologies.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with financial management and budget control in a mining context.
