About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly capable and experienced Mining Project Manager to oversee significant development and operational projects near Nottingham . This role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and meticulous execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. You will manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and design through to construction and commissioning, coordinating diverse teams and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closing of mining projects, ensuring scope, quality, and timelines are met.
• Develop and manage project budgets, resource allocation, and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, including engineers, geologists, contractors, and consultants.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage stakeholder communication, providing regular progress reports and addressing concerns.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field; a Master's degree or PMP certification is a strong asset.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in project management within the mining industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale mining projects from inception to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of mining operations, engineering principles, and project management methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project management software and financial modeling.
