About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished and strategic Mining Project Manager to lead key initiatives from their Bristol office. This role is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of diverse mining projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee all project phases, manage stakeholders, and drive project teams to achieve ambitious operational and strategic goals within the mining industry . This is a high-impact position for a seasoned professional eager to make a significant contribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from conception and feasibility to construction and commissioning.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and performance.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor project progress, providing regular reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Mining, Civil, Mechanical) or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (8+ years) as a Project Manager in the mining sector .
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex mining projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
