Mobile Forklift Engineer
Location: Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire
Salary: £31,000-£38,000+ (DOE) + Overtime (1.33x) + On-Call Allowance
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30

The Role
As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of forklift trucks and material handling equipment at customer sites throughout the local area.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnosing faults, servicing, and repairing forklift trucks and associated equipment
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Attending breakdowns and providing effective fault-finding solutions
- Completing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs
- Conducting safety inspections and ensuring equipment remains compliant
- Accurately completing service reports and documentation
- Delivering excellent customer service while representing the company professionally
- Participating in the paid on-call rota as required
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working within the forklift, plant, agricultural, HGV, automotive, or material handling industries (essential)
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience servicing and repairing mobile equipment or machinery
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent engineering qualification (advantageous)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
