We are currently seeking a Mobile Plant Engineer to join a well-established fleet repair company based in Birmingham. This opportunity is ideal for experienced HGV or plant equipment technicians seeking a mobile role with steady earnings and performance bonuses. Duties of the Mobile Plant Engineer:
- Service, inspect, repair, and refurbish a variety of plant equipment including dumpers, diggers, telehandlers, trailers, and pumps
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues
- Respond to breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
- Ensure all work adheres to manufacturer specifications, environmental, and health and safety standards
- Maintain comprehensive records of all service and repairs carried out
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring fleet performance remains optimal
Requirements of the Mobile Plant Engineer:
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience as an HGV technician or plant mechanic
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Own toolset; specialist tools will be supplied by the company
- Proactive approach with a customer-focused mindset
- Experience diagnosing hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults is highly advantageous
