About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Mortgage Advisor to join their team in Plymouth . You will guide clients through the entire mortgage application process, from initial inquiry to completion, helping them find the most suitable mortgage products to meet their needs. Building strong relationships with clients and understanding their financial situations is paramount. Key Responsibilities

• Interview clients to ascertain their financial situation, needs, and preferences for a mortgage.
• Research and recommend suitable mortgage products from a range of lenders.
• Assist clients in completing mortgage applications accurately and efficiently.
• Liaise with lenders, estate agents, and other parties to ensure the smooth progression of applications.
• Provide expert advice on related financial products such as life insurance and home insurance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the mortgage market and relevant regulations.

Requirements

• CeMAP qualification or equivalent (or willingness to obtain within a set timeframe).
• Previous experience in mortgage advising or a related financial services role.
• Strong understanding of mortgage products, lending criteria, and the property market.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain complex information clearly and simply.
• Customer-focused approach with a commitment to providing excellent service.
