Mortgage Advisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a customer-focused and knowledgeable Mortgage Advisor to join their team in Southampton . You will guide clients through the mortgage application process, offering expert advice and helping them find the best products to suit their needs. This role combines client interaction with administrative tasks, operating on a hybrid schedule that allows for both office-based work and remote flexibility. You will be instrumental in helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess clients' financial situations and advise on suitable mortgage products.
• Source mortgage offers from a panel of lenders and assist with applications.
• Explain complex mortgage terms and conditions clearly to clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure all advice and recommendations comply with regulatory requirements.
• Manage a pipeline of clients, ensuring timely completion of mortgage applications.

Requirements

• Full CeMAP qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Mortgage Advisor or in a similar financial advisory role.
• Strong understanding of the mortgage market and lending criteria.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working a hybrid model.
