About the Role
Our client is looking for a qualified and customer-focused Mortgage Advisor to join their team serving clients in the Reading area. This role is crucial in helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of the mortgage market to secure the best possible financing for their property aspirations. You will provide tailored advice, assess financial situations, and recommend suitable mortgage products from a wide range of lenders. This position operates on a hybrid model, allowing for focused remote work combined with essential face-to-face client meetings and networking opportunities within the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess clients' financial circumstances and advise on the most suitable mortgage products .
- Research and compare mortgage deals from various lenders to find the best options.
- Guide clients through the mortgage application process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the mortgage market, regulations, and lender policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with estate agents, solicitors, and other referral partners.
- Provide ongoing support to clients throughout the property purchase journey.
- Adhere to all industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- CeMAP qualification or equivalent recognized mortgage advising certification.
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Advisor or in a similar financial advisory role.
- Strong understanding of mortgage products, equity release, and associated insurance.
- Excellent communication, listening, and sales skills.
- Ability to manage a hybrid workload, balancing remote consultations with in-person meetings.
