About the Role
Our client is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Mortgage Advisor to join their growing team in Plymouth . This role is a vital part of the banking and finance operations, assisting clients in navigating the complexities of the mortgage market. You will be responsible for understanding client needs, advising on suitable mortgage products, and guiding them through the application process to secure financing. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with a passion for helping people achieve their homeownership goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their financial situations, borrowing needs, and homeownership aspirations.
- Advise clients on a range of mortgage products, explaining terms, conditions, and eligibility criteria.
- Assist clients in completing mortgage applications accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with lenders, brokers, and other financial institutions to facilitate the mortgage process.
- Keep abreast of market trends, product offerings, and regulatory changes in the mortgage industry.
- Provide ongoing support and follow-up to clients throughout the mortgage application and settlement stages.
Requirements
- Relevant industry qualifications such as CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Advisor or in a similar role within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Proficiency in using mortgage sourcing software and CRM systems.
