About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Mortgage Advisor to join their thriving branch in Cardiff . You will be responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage application process, understanding their financial needs, and recommending suitable mortgage products from a wide range of lenders. This role requires excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the mortgage market to ensure clients receive the best possible advice and service. You will play a key role in helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership dreams, working within a supportive and professional financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess client financial situations, understand their borrowing needs, and identify appropriate mortgage products.
- Provide expert advice on mortgage options, including fixed-rate, variable-rate, and offset mortgages.
- Guide clients through the entire mortgage application process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Liaise with lenders, mortgage brokers, and other financial institutions to secure competitive mortgage offers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the mortgage market, regulations, and product offerings.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships, aiming for repeat business and referrals.
Requirements
- Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., CeMAP, MAQ) are essential.
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Advisor or in a similar lending or financial advisory role.
- Strong understanding of the UK mortgage market, lending criteria, and associated regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information simply.
- Proficiency in using mortgage sourcing systems and CRM software.
