• Circa £40k Basic Salary

• Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm – No Weekends!

Our client, a well-established independent garage based in Dartford, Kent, is looking to recruit an experienced MOT Tester to join their friendly and professional team. Renowned for providing high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services, this independent garage has built an excellent reputation for customer service and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards and regulations.

• Identify and accurately record any vehicle defects or advisory items.

• Perform vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety.

• Work closely with the workshop team to ensure repairs are completed efficiently following MOT failures.

• Maintain accurate records of MOT tests and associated documentation.

• Deliver excellent customer service while ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.

• Keep up to date with DVSA regulations and MOT testing procedures.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Current and valid MOT Tester licence.

• Previous experience as an MOT Tester, ideally within an independent garage.

• Strong knowledge of DVSA MOT testing standards and vehicle safety requirements.

• Excellent attention to detail and a thorough approach to inspections.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.

• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

• A full UK driving licence is essential.
