Multi-Drop Delivery Driver

About the Role

Our client requires a diligent and efficient Multi-Drop Delivery Driver to join their team in Sunderland . This role involves delivering a high volume of packages and goods to various customers on a daily basis, primarily within the local area. You will be responsible for ensuring that deliveries are made accurately and on time, maintaining a high standard of customer service throughout. The successful candidate will be organised, possess excellent driving skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment typical of the logistics sector in the Tyne and Wear region. This is a key customer-facing role.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform multiple deliveries and collections of parcels and goods daily to residential and business addresses.
• Navigate efficiently using handheld devices or GPS to plan and execute delivery routes.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and within the allocated timeframes.
• Provide a courteous and professional service to all customers upon delivery.
• Maintain the vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition, reporting any issues.
• Accurately record delivery details and confirm successful completion.

Requirements

• A valid UK driving licence, preferably with a clean record.
• Experience as a multi-drop driver or in a similar delivery role.
• Good geographical knowledge of Sunderland and surrounding areas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
• Physical capability to handle packages, which may be heavy or bulky.
