Service Engineer

Marmon Lift Recruitment is working with a rapidly expanding door installation and maintenance specialist seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to provide nationwide support from its facility in King's Lynn. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering team delivering 24/7 repair, maintenance and installation services for automatic, manual and industrial door systems. The successful engineer will work with products from leading manufacturers, including Hörmann, GFA, Ellard, Assa Abloy, Record, GEZE, Dorma, Stanley, Tormax, Horton and Label. Overtime & Training: Overtime is paid at 1.5x. Engineers receive product and compliance training covering industrial doors, gates, barriers and automatic entrance systems, with opportunities to achieve relevant qualifications and manufacturer certifications.
Service Engineer Responsibilities:
Service, maintain, fault-find and repair automatic and industrial door systems Work on roller shutters, sectional doors, speed doors, overhead doors and shop fronts Service and repair gates, barriers and perimeter security equipment Occasionally install automatic doors, industrial doors and associated products Diagnose electrical, mechanical and electronic faults safely and efficiently Work in accordance with BS EN 16005, DHF and relevant industry standards Advise customers and recommend suitable solutions for their requirements Complete work independently while supporting the wider engineering team
The Ideal Service Engineer:
Automatic or industrial door servicing, maintenance and repair experience - DESIRABLE Strong electrical, mechanical and electronic fault-finding skills - ESSENTIAL Knowledge of BS EN 16005 and DHF standards - DESIRABLE EN 16005, DHF Gate Diploma or NVQ Level 2 qualification - DESIRABLE Willingness to travel nationwide and attend customer sites - ESSENTIAL Excellent communication and customer service skills - ESSENTIAL Organised, dependable and able to manage competing priorities - ESSENTIAL Positive attitude and willingness to undertake further training - ESSENTIAL Full UK Driving Licence - ESSENTIAL
