Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a versatile and skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK . This role is critical for ensuring the continuous operation of plant machinery and equipment by performing both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks. You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and emergency repairs to minimize downtime. Joining the Installation & Maintenance department, you will contribute to the smooth running of operations and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency in the West Midlands facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic faults.
• Respond effectively to equipment breakdowns and provide timely solutions.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems, including PLCs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and fault-finding techniques.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to adopt a hybrid working pattern as required.
