2 Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technicians

to join a busy, high-speed manufacturing environment in

Aycliffe

on an initial

6-month contract . The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and improving production equipment, helping to minimise downtime and ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional with a strong

electrical bias

and experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Key Responsibilities as a maintenance technician: Carry out planned, preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment. Respond quickly and safely to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions. Diagnose and repair

electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automation-related faults . Troubleshoot equipment to identify the root cause of failures and recurring issues. Maintain and improve production equipment to minimise downtime. Follow all site safety procedures, including

lockout/tagout, machine guarding and safe systems of work . Identify equipment risks, unsafe conditions and opportunities to improve reliability. Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities. Work closely with production operators, engineers and supervisors to maintain safe and efficient operations. Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, equipment manuals and maintenance instructions. Maintain high standards of housekeeping within maintenance areas and around production equipment. Contribute to improvements relating to

safety, quality, uptime and overall equipment performance . Skills & Experience as a maintenance technician: The ideal candidate will have: NVQ Level 3, ONC, apprenticeship or equivalent experience

in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics or a related discipline. Previous experience maintaining

production, packaging, converting, assembly or automated manufacturing equipment . A strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices. Knowledge of

lockout/tagout and safe systems of work . The ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals and maintenance instructions. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. The ability to troubleshoot

electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automation systems . An

electrical bias is preferred . The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving equipment issues. Why Apply? This is a great opportunity to secure a
