Description: We are looking for a motivated and people-focused Museum Volunteer Co‑ordinator to join our award-winning team at the Museum in the Park. You will lead the recruitment, training and ongoing support of our valued volunteers - ensuring they feel confident, included and able to provide an experience for every visitor. You will:Recruit, induct and support a diverse team of volunteersAs part of the Front of House team be the Duty Manager on a rota basis and carry out front-of-house operationsMatch volunteers to roles where they can thrive and contributeDeliver training, guidance and ongoing development This is a varied, rewarding role combining people management, customer service and operational responsibility in a dynamic public-facing environment. About youWe are looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellent public service and inclusive community engagement.You will bring:Experience of working with people in a volunteer, community, or customer-facing settingAble to work effectively in a busy public environment (with appropriate support and adjustments where needed)Experience of working in ways that focus on each person’s needs, preferences, and well‑beingStrong communication and organisational skillsKnowledge (or willingness to further develop knowledge) of volunteering good practiceConfidence using digital tools such as email, Microsoft Office, and online systems You will:Be passionate about delivering excellent customer serviceBe a positive, supportive team member who values othersBe able to work flexibly, including weekends on a rotaChampion the contribution and value of volunteers We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of volunteering, community engagement, or overcoming barriers to participation. About usThe Museum in the Park is a much-loved community museum set in beautiful parkland, welcoming around 60,000 visitors each year.
