About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-driven National Account Manager to manage and grow key accounts within the FMCG sector . Based in or near Birmingham , this hybrid role offers a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. You will be responsible for developing strong relationships with major retail partners, driving sales volume, and ensuring the successful execution of commercial strategies. This position is crucial for expanding our client's market presence and fostering long-term partnerships within the competitive UK grocery landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of national accounts, achieving sales targets and distribution goals.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to maximize growth and profitability.
- Negotiate trade terms, promotional activities, and shelf space with key retailers.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, finance) to ensure seamless execution of account plans.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders at client organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in account management within the FMCG industry .
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing major retail accounts.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model, balancing office and remote responsibilities.
- Proficiency in sales forecasting and data analysis using tools like Excel and CRM systems.
