National Football Coach

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated National Football Coach to lead and develop football talent remotely across Northern Ireland . This crucial role focuses on enhancing coaching standards, player development pathways, and the overall performance of national teams within the Leisure & Sports federation. You will work independently and in coordination with national bodies, leveraging technology to deliver training strategies, identify promising athletes, and foster a culture of excellence and sportsmanship throughout the football community.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a progressive national football coaching curriculum and player development framework.
• Identify, scout, and mentor talented young players across Northern Ireland , providing guidance on technical, tactical, and personal development.
• Design and deliver engaging remote coaching sessions and tactical workshops for players and aspiring coaches.
• Collaborate with regional football associations and clubs to ensure consistent development strategies and talent identification processes.
• Analyse match performance data and provide strategic insights to support team preparation and tactical adjustments.
• Stay abreast of international best practices in football coaching and player development, integrating relevant innovations into the national program.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a football coach at an elite youth or national level, holding UEFA A or equivalent coaching badges.
• Proven track record in identifying and developing high-potential football players.
• Strong understanding of modern coaching methodologies, sports science principles, and performance analysis.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate individuals and teams remotely.
• Experience in managing remote coaching programs and utilising digital platforms for training and communication.
• Deep knowledge of the football landscape in Northern Ireland and the broader UK context.
