About the Role
Our client, a leading player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced National Sales Manager to drive their commercial strategy and market presence across the UK. This pivotal role, based in Aberdeen, Scotland , will involve leading a high-performing sales team, developing innovative sales strategies, and fostering strong relationships with key retail partners and distributors. You will be instrumental in achieving ambitious sales targets and expanding market share for our client's diverse product portfolio, contributing directly to the company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive national sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and profitability goals.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a national sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous development.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities and strategic partnerships within the FMCG market .
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions and optimize sales performance.
- Manage key account relationships with major retailers and wholesalers, ensuring excellent service and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, and product development teams to ensure alignment and effective go-to-market strategies.
Requirements
- Proven track record of success in a senior sales leadership role within the FMCG industry .
- Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing effective national sales strategies.
- Strong understanding of retail and wholesale channels within the UK market.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
- Proficiency in sales forecasting , CRM software, and data analysis tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
