About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Natural Language Processing (NLP) Engineer to join their innovative team in Nottingham . You will be instrumental in developing and deploying NLP models and applications that understand, interpret, and generate human language. This role involves working with large text datasets, building cutting-edge language models, and integrating NLP solutions into various products and services. You'll collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to push the boundaries of what's possible with language AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, train, and deploy NLP models for tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and machine translation.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines for processing and analyzing textual data.
- Implement and optimize pre-trained language models (e.g., BERT, GPT) for specific applications.
- Collaborate with product teams to define and integrate NLP features into user-facing applications.
- Evaluate NLP model performance and iterate to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in the field of NLP.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Natural Language Processing and a strong understanding of NLP techniques.
- Proficiency in Python and NLP libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for NLP tasks.
- Familiarity with data preprocessing, feature engineering for text data, and model evaluation metrics.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and experience working in a hybrid team environment.
