Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Network Design and Implementation:
• Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, to support business operations and growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop network architecture and solutions that meet business requirements and industry best practices.

Network Security:

Implement and maintain network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs, to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.

Network Monitoring and Optimization:

Monitor network performance, traffic, and bandwidth utilization using monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques.

Proactively identify and resolve network issues, optimize performance, and implement scalability and capacity planning strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role, with expertise in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
• Experience with network security technologies and best practices, including firewall configuration, VPNs, and security protocols (e.g., SSL/TLS, IPsec).
• Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools, such as Wireshark, Nagios, and Cisco Prime.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
