About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Network Infrastructure Engineer to join their expanding technology team, offering a fully remote working arrangement. You will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of our networks, working from your home office. Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage core network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize speed and reliability.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against threats and ensure data integrity.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Provide remote support for network-related issues, troubleshooting complex problems to resolution.
- Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
- Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Network Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, and firewall management.
- Experience with cloud networking environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools.
- Excellent remote troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent practical experience are preferred.
