Network Installation Engineer - Liverpool

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Network Installation Engineer to join their team, serving the Liverpool area with a hybrid working arrangement. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and testing of network infrastructure, including cabling, hardware, and systems, at various client sites. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will ensure seamless network connectivity and reliable performance for our diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure network hardware, including routers, switches, and access points.
• Perform structured cabling installations and testing (e.g., Ethernet, fibre optic).
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.
• Conduct site surveys and plan network infrastructure layouts.
• Document network configurations, installations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Liaise with clients to understand requirements and provide technical support.

Requirements

• Proven experience in network installation and configuration.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and standards (TCP/IP, Ethernet, Wi-Fi).
• Experience with cabling standards and testing equipment.
• Familiarity with common network operating systems and hardware.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills for client interaction in and around Liverpool .
