This role focuses on the remote configuration, deployment, and support of network infrastructure for a diverse client base. You will leverage your expertise in networking protocols and technologies to ensure robust and secure network solutions are implemented and maintained. Key Responsibilities
- Remotely configure, install, and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Design and implement network solutions based on client requirements using best practices.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Provide remote technical support and guidance to clients regarding network setup and optimization.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configuration details.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and security threats.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Network Installation Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and switching technologies.
- Experience with network hardware from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Aruba).
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, ping, traceroute).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup for this fully remote position near Reading .
