About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Network Installation Engineer to join their team, operating in a fully remote capacity. This role is critical for the planning, deployment, and management of network infrastructure for clients across the Sheffield area and beyond. You will leverage your expertise in network design and implementation to ensure robust, secure, and high-performing network solutions, working independently from a home-based office. Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and deploy network solutions including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi technologies.
- Perform remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and resolution of network connectivity and performance issues.
- Manage and maintain network hardware, software, and security configurations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams and IP addressing schemes.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and recommend improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Network Installation Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and routing/switching technologies.
- Hands-on experience with network hardware from major vendors.
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools and techniques.
- Excellent remote problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar are highly valued.
