Network Operations Centre (NOC) Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and proactive Network Operations Centre (NOC) Analyst for a fully remote position. In this critical role, you will be responsible for monitoring the health and performance of our client's telecommunications network infrastructure 24/7. You will be the first line of defense, identifying and responding to network alerts and incidents to ensure maximum uptime and service continuity. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and availability using advanced Network Management Systems (NMS).
• Identify, diagnose, and escalate network incidents and outages according to established procedures.
• Respond to alerts and alarms, initiating troubleshooting steps to resolve issues promptly.
• Document all network events, incidents, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
• Communicate effectively with technical teams, management, and sometimes customers regarding network status and incident progression.
• Perform routine network checks and health assessments to proactively identify potential problems.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a NOC environment or similar network monitoring role.
• Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, SNMP, and network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Understanding of network infrastructure components like routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear incident reporting.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as part of a rotating schedule.
