Key Responsibilities
- Actively monitor the network infrastructure using sophisticated monitoring tools, identifying potential issues and anomalies.
- Respond promptly to network alarms and incidents, performing initial diagnosis and implementing corrective actions.
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior engineers or relevant teams, providing clear and concise incident reports.
- Perform routine system checks and maintenance tasks to ensure network health and performance.
- Document network events, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the incident management system.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of NOC procedures and tools to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience in a Network Operations Centre (NOC) or similar network monitoring role, preferably within telecoms .
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing protocols, and common network services.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds).
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple incidents simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant IT or networking certifications are advantageous.
