About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and proactive Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer to join their team in Belfast . This critical role involves the continuous monitoring of our client's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and rapid response to any incidents. You will be at the forefront of network health management, identifying and resolving issues before they impact end-users. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and availability using sophisticated NOC tools and dashboards.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network outages and performance degradations in a timely manner.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or relevant support teams, providing detailed information.
• Perform routine network checks and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Respond to alerts and service desk tickets related to network incidents.
• Maintain accurate records of network events, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system.

Requirements

• Experience working in a Network Operations Centre (NOC) or similar IT support environment.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and DNS.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or Zabbix.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
