Network Security & Systems Administrator
We2uk Ltd is a fast-growing UK-based warehousing and logistics provider. We specialize in supply chain solutions, modern warehousing management, and global fulfillment operations. As our logistics network expands, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Network Security & Systems Administrator to join our team in Birmingham to ensure the stability, efficiency, and security of our IT network and warehouse infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, and evaluate local and wireless network environments (hardware and software) to support warehouse operations, office systems, and expansion projects.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and traffic across warehouse/office hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and make continuous optimization recommendations.
- Manage user accounts, identity authentication, and access controls while providing daily IT support and troubleshooting for warehouse devices (PDAs, printers, CCTV, scanners).
- Ensure end-to-end network security by enforcing firewall policies, conducting vulnerability management, and investigating, reporting, and fixing network faults.
- Write standard operating procedures (SOPs), IT operational documentation, and emergency response plans, providing user support and training for logistics/warehouse systems (WMS, ERP, OMS).
- Maintain and test regular data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for core databases and business servers to guarantee business continuity.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Hands-on experience with network administration, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless network setup.
- Familiarity with warehouse hardware (PDAs, label printers, CCTV, access control) and business systems (WMS/ERP).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of network security best practices.
- Good communication skills and the ability to train/support non-technical staff.
