Night Cleaning Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Night Cleaning Supervisor to oversee and execute cleaning operations during evening and night shifts at their facilities in Reading . This crucial role ensures that the premises are maintained to exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene, ready for the start of the next business day. You will lead a team of cleaning operatives, manage resources effectively, and ensure all health and safety protocols are rigorously followed in a less supervised environment. This is a hands-on leadership position for an individual committed to maintaining quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide a team of cleaning staff during night shifts, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Develop and manage nightly cleaning schedules and rotas, ensuring all areas are covered effectively.
• Conduct regular inspections of cleaned areas to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and COSHH regulations by all team members.
• Provide training and support to cleaning staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in cleaning, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role, preferably on night shifts.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment.
• Understanding of UK health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during night operations.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform cleaning duties as needed.
