About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated NLP Engineer to join their growing technology division in Liverpool . This role is integral to developing and enhancing our client's natural language processing capabilities, which are key to understanding and processing human language data. You will be involved in building sophisticated NLP models for tasks such as sentiment analysis, text summarization, machine translation, and question answering systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NLP, machine learning, and software engineering, coupled with a passion for working with language data to drive innovation and improve user experiences through intelligent text processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, train, and deploy NLP models for various language understanding and generation tasks.
- Process and analyze large volumes of text data, performing feature engineering and selection.
- Implement state-of-the-art NLP algorithms using libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers.
- Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate NLP solutions into products.
- Evaluate model performance and continuously iterate to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay informed about the latest research and trends in natural language processing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) engineering.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with relevant NLP libraries.
- Solid understanding of machine learning concepts and NLP techniques (e.g., embeddings, RNNs, Transformers).
- Experience working with text data and implementing solutions for tasks like classification, NER, and topic modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and MLOps practices is a plus.
