NLP Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced NLP Engineer to join their growing team in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying natural language processing models and applications that enable machines to understand and process human language. This role involves working with large text datasets, implementing state-of-the-art NLP techniques, and contributing to intelligent systems that enhance user interaction and data analysis. You'll be part of a collaborative environment focused on pushing the boundaries of language technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement NLP models for tasks such as sentiment analysis, text classification, named entity recognition, and machine translation.
• Preprocess and clean large volumes of text data for model training and analysis.
• Fine-tune pre-trained language models (e.g., BERT, GPT) for specific downstream applications.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying NLP models.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with expertise in libraries like NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers.
• Solid understanding of machine learning principles and deep learning architectures for NLP.
