Salary: £62,000+ per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am5:00pm (office-based)
Location: Ballymena, Northern Ireland

About the Role

An established care service in the Ballymena area is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to provide strong clinical and operational leadership. The service is recognised for its focus on quality, consistency of care, and staff development, and offers a stable environment for a nurse looking to progress within management.

This position would suit a Deputy Nurse Manager ready to step into a full management role or an experienced Nurse Manager seeking a weekday, office-based post with a clear leadership remit. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining clinical standards, supporting staff, and contributing to the ongoing development of the service.

Essential Criteria

• Active NMC registration with no restrictions

• Current and valid nursing PIN

• Previous experience in a Deputy Nurse Manager role

• Experience as a Nurse Manager is advantageous

• Background in learning disability services is beneficial

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out home visits to support and monitor Health Care Assistants

• Ensuring patient documentation is accurate, compliant, and maintained in line with legislation and data protection requirements

• Making referrals to external or specialist services where appropriate

• Reviewing and analysing service user feedback to inform quality improvement

• Leading, supervising, and supporting a multidisciplinary team including Nurses and HCAs

• Reviewing, updating, and implementing policies to ensure regulatory compliance

• Chairing team meetings and communicating operational updates effectively

• Developing and maintaining professional relationships with external stakeholders

• Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive working culture
